If you want to understand him and be helped tremendously in your faith, attend Bible School. If you do not believe in God, then seek inner peace, and do not give up until you have truly found it. I firmly believe there is no one and nothing that can give inner peace such as Jesus.

IALLAFALL…hon söker kille!! helt singel, het brutta! såå, är ni intresserade, kan ni bara hojta på mig eller min morsa eller min farsa och så bokar vi in en blind-date. inga namn nämns, lovar! hon är ju trots allt nästan 21, och med tanke på att min ömma moder eva peva gifte sig vid…hm….19 års ålder? så är det på tiden att hannis hittar sig nån själsfrände. tycker ni inte det??

annars så har hon just gjort bort sig haha! hon gick upp till John, min brur, och satte sig i soffan och kollade på medans han kolla på tv. så går hon och säger: Jooohn, nu stänger du av, klockan är nio och du har skola imorrn. john bryr sig inte typ. haha och så 15 minuter senare sitter hon fortfarande där och pratar , typ med sig själv, medan hon också är heelt inne i tv programmet: Joooohn, nu stänger du av. Jag kunder nästan skymta dreglet rinna för hon var så inne. haha!

There we met up with Hanne, my cousin, and had dinner at a very special place.

In the tower, "Tyholttårnet" with a rotating upper floor with a marvellous view over the city. The food cost 100-250 NOK, not so expensive. I had pizza bufet and ate until I felt (and looked) pregnant.

We were almost late to the airport because of the buses, we ran like crazy to catch it. My suitcase was broken, so we carried it Africa-style. On your head.

We arrived on time for the flight. One of the shops in the airport was cool.

Hanging out with Amy’s family and with the rest of the Ishoels was fun. I’ve met few such crazy families except my own. But still they are all firm Christians who love God. And their small town.

Well, today we got it in practice. To do snowboard is awesome. But don’t tell me there is anyone who was born on a snow board, because that isn’t possible. Everyone has to learn it the hard way.  Anyway, as usual Amy is the pro but graceful enough to choose the easier ways for my sake, and being there for me. It was about + 7° C, snow was melting and sun was up, not that many skiers, which was nice.

Another... talent? One of the times when it actually worked for me, I was really happy.

This was most of my day though hahaha. No, ask Amy and you'll get the truth.

Then we had the second meeting of the conference, this time with pastor Stefan Salmonsson. He spoke on Romans 7:7-25 from the statement: ”Jesus is the answer” – ”What is the question?”, the relevance of Christianity for people today. About sin, law, and your flesh that makes you do things you don’t want. But Stefan has a certain way of making things so understandable and most of all – hilarious. It’s like he loves each one of us that he is preaching to. I would like to be like that too.

A few pics from Oppdal – a fantastically wonderful place with awesome people, super-nice church, and a great conference (so far). More superlatives needed to come here?

This is Amy and a fantastic day in the mountain side.

Not the usual car outfit. Necessary though, with Amy behind the wheel.

What was funny was when I made a few mistakes downhill and Amy (or someone else, I can’t remember) shouted: ”Hanna, you’re going like a Dane!”, or when I went into the ski shop carrying my pair of skiis,and I hit the entrance doors with them. That was really ”danish”. This isn’t racism, just mocking Danes who have no mountains and are the people who get in trouble most of the times in scandinavian ski centers.

First meeting of the youth conference this night. 10 reasons not to wash yourself. Applied on Christians. Very interesting. Up tomorrow for a service at nine and then a whole day on snow board. Please pray for us that we wont break anything.

Tomorrow me, Amy and some more people (her relatives?) are going skiing. Please pray we will come back unharmed and alive, these mountains are seriously crazy high. In my opinion, as a citizen of Uppsala, the flattest area in the world after Denmark.

Norwegian Venice?

Fantastic veiws, I have only been so far up north in Norway as Trondheim. If you know anything about Norwegian geography, you know that Lofoten is way up north, which was what I thought of.

God is our refuge and strenght, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; though its waters roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with its swelling. Yes, I agree to Psalms 46. About mountains, especially in Norway.

I will visit this cafe some day

After sight-seeing on my own I met up with Hanne, her boyfriend Jörgen and my mother’s aunt, had a nice dinner and talk with them.

It's just as cool every time to walk down those stairs

So, I went to Norway yesterday evening, am going to spend the next two days here with my cousin and then go by train to Oppdal, a small place between mountains, Amy’s home town. There we will stay for the rest of the week until we fly back to Uppsala together on Sunday.

I went by bus from the airport into the city, a 30-min ride where I met Hanne. On the bus I got a phone call from a Swedish number. I picked up the phone, and a 30-year-old lady with a strong Russian accent asked if I’d like to answer a few questions for a research (which I didn’t, it was already late Sunday evening). Before I even got a chance to interrupt her she asked: ”Do you smoke or use snus?” No, thank God I don’t, and I pity those who do. But I didn’t say that. Then for a moment she went silent, inhaled and said ”Oh”, thanked me and hung up. Right there in the bus I was so surprised and burst out in laughter for myself. I don’t care what my neighbors thought. It was so weird and funny.

This morning God gave me a wonderful word, I thought of a few lines from the bible, didn’t know where from. Checked it up on google and found out it was from Isaiah 41:10:
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

Thank you dear God! That is so typical of him to say such a thing. To encourage you and make you sure that he is with you today as well.

Today I’ll meet my mother’s aunt and have dinner with her. And even more interesting: meet Hanne’s boyfriend. I’ve only seen him on facebook and heard her talk about him.

Long johns are definitely necessary, a double pair of gloves and a warm woolen scarf helps when biking. Your teeth freeze if you smile too much. But when the sun is up life is truly the best.

Our garbage tins... they can't stand the snow.

I try to think like Amy, she loves winter and snow and cold. And Dasha, a friend in bible school, would like it to remain -6° C constantly. But God can’t have created earth for such a temperature. We’re not made for this, life in the winter is sure good, but not natural.
